This is it now it is quilted and bound. It is bound using sheer blue ribbon. I like the effect.

Very effective. Has a nice watery ethereal look to it. Lovely piece of dyed fabric!
Thanks, Valeri. It is actually painted, with Jacquard paints - lots of irridescents - not dyed. We did that as the first stage in the class.
I like this very much and especially like seeing the changes as you progressed. From the idea to the finished product! What is the size?
I made it so that I could use it as a journal quilt if I didn't have enough but I didn't need it so it is slightly bigger than that since I didn't need to make it exactly 11 by 8.5. I think it's about 12 by 9.
I love this and the see through border adds to the watery effect,

Love the effect of using the sheer ribbon as a binding! I would never have thought of that.
