Beautiful! But how in the world do you keep it trimmed? Ours goes crazy here, and I would worry about it breaking through the roof (which actually happened to my parents). Maybe a difference in the weather UK vs. California?

My husband prunes it twice and year and curses it roundly. Luckily it is only on the front and he can get out on to a balcony on one of the top floor rooms to cut down the highest bits. I think he does some of the side bits through some of the other windows too. It's a very tall house...
