In case this blog looks as if it's turning into more of a travel journal than anything to do with textiles, here is a photo of one of the design boards I did for my C&G. It is where I got the idea for my spirals wallhanging from (see right at the beginning of January). One of the boards had to be all in black and white. This is why I'm posting all the photos of unusual angles on things - because I got in the habit of looking for good stuff for design work!

I like the black and white patterns. They remind me of adinkra cloth from Ghana.
Thanks, Elle. That's interesting, because when I made the wallhanging, I thought some of the negative patterns I got looked very African. I love African fabrics!
