Art, to me, is the ability to see and to communicate that sight to others, whether in painting, stitch, sculpture, music, writing, photography... to look around and isolate the beautiful, the idiosyncratic, the crazy, the droll, the quirky....
things that people might otherwise miss and be the poorer for it
Views of rooftops, colours of a flower, a butterfly, weeds growing through concrete, birdsong, qualities of light, colour..... lichen growing on a rock ....
all of that and more, lots more.

Beautifully said, Liz...if we don't capture those moments for the world who will?
