This one is slightly strange... I used Xpandaprint which is stuff that you paint on (I think I used a brush to make the lines) and then you heat it with a heat gun and it puffs up. You can then stitch on it. I then painted it with acrylic paints but never got round to stitching it.

I love this piece. It's not strange... it's beautiful. I'm loving the look of these and can hardly wait to see how they come into play on your C&G course.

Thanks, Debra. I didn't actually use anything from this design board in my pieces of work for the course (I've finished it now) but posting these again is starting to inspire me. I did some other experiments with Xpandaprint (not for this design board) so I'll dig them out and post pictures. I think that the effect the course has had on me is to cause me to be addicted to making small samples of things using lots of different media and then not actually finishing very much... I must be disciplined, I must be disciplined...

Ya know... I have a little jar of expanda print... I have to take it out and actually play with it some day.

Thanks Teri! I enjoy posting them too - if only because it gives me something to talk about for a week without having to wrack my brains too much! And it's good to remind myself of what I've done instead of having them stashed away in my sewing room...

Debra, do use your Xpandaprint because I think it has a short shelf life (mine lasted for a couple of years but in the end went very thick and yukky).
