Margaret Beal workshop - this is acrylic felt layered with metallic organza and lots of cut scraps of different coloured polyester organza. We then made the black patterns with the soldering iron (some of them to anchor the scraps down) and then cut the pieces out using the soldering iron over a ruler or template. The rectangular frame-shaped one has had some pink organza fused to the reverse.

Totally cool-i always think of soldering irons for holes and edge sealing, but why not actual motifs??? Fabu!
